• Mr. Niugraduated from Nankai University and obtaineda Bachelordegreein lawand subsequently a Master degreein law (International Economic Law major). He previously worked at theLaw School ofTianjin University of Finance and Economics and was engaged in teaching & doing research incivil and commercial law.

• Mr. Niuhandled many Chinese enterprises with their “going global” investment and financing projects, which cover destinations such asIndonesia, Singapore, Myanmar, Bulgaria, Hong Kong and other countries and regions; he provides legal advices for domestic legal issues, such as assistance in design of due diligence plans, recruitment of foreign lawyers and making legal documents and summary legal advices according to foreign legal opinions. He handled many foreign-invested projects, such as the domestic investment of an American enterprise, the equity transfer of a Singaporean enterprise, the establishment of a Sino-German joint venture, the establishment of a Sino-Swiss joint venture, the domestic investment of a Thai enterprise, the domestic investment of an Italian multinational company, the establishment of a Tianjin Free Trade Zone enterprise of a financial institution, and so forth, and participated in government legal affairs, including research on projects related to establishment of industry investment fund and the project result - research report on establishment and Bohai industry investment fund was well received; state-owned assets management system construction and implementation of districts and counties; financial consumption dispute mediation system construction of financial supervision authorities; development, research and argumentation of financial reform policies of Tianjin; establishment on standards related to association management, drafting administrative regulations of real estate transaction of Tianjin, research and argumentation work on construction of financing lease market, and so forth.
• Mr. Niuparticipated in the restructuring of many state-owned enterprises, the equity transfer of state-owned enterprises and other state-owned projects, such as Binjiang Group restructuring, Jinjiu Group restructuring, Huabei Electric Wire Factory restructuring, Tianjin Light Industry Chemical Research Institute restructuring, and so forth; he handled many major non-performing asset disposal projects, including disposal of foreign trade non-performing credit asset package project (amount of obligation nearly 6000 million) of Tianjin Office of China Orient Asset Management Corporation; disposal of four policy and suspicious non-performing credit asset packages (amount of obligation nearly 3000 million) under the entrustment of Shijiazhuang Office of China Orient Asset Management Corporation in 2006 and 2007 in succession.
• Mr. Niuwas successfully engagedin many major foreign-related litigation and arbitration cases: processing undertaking contract dispute case between a foreign-funded enterprise and a Korean enterprise, a lawsuit case brought by a Korean enterprise against a foreign-funded enterprise, sales contract dispute case between an import and export enterprise and a Jiangsu enterprise, guarantee dispute case between an assets management company and a Tianjin enterprise, non-performing asset transfer contract invalidation case between a foreign fund and a Tianjin state-owned enterprise, and so forth.
• With his solid legal foundation, his excellent knowledge structure and his rich experience in practice and good professional quality, Mr. Niu Tongxu specialized in the research and practice of finance, corporate and other commercial laws and is committed to providing clients with professional commercial legal services.
